Handcrafted in Italy and made of Glass and Antiqued Silver decorative parts, this is a true gem of design, made entirely by hand in the workshop by skilled Italian artisans.
Useful and functional for melting Sealing Wax easily without changing the color, it is truly the cleanest way to melt sealing wax. Can also be used with a spoon; just heat it to melt the sealing wax easily. We recommend using 90% pure alcohol for a stable, odorless flame; this will not change the color of the Sealing Wax
Handcrafted in the Traditional Style without wicks.
This wax is non-flammable and safe for transport.
How to use:
Option A) Light a candle and hold the stick over the flame to melt by continuously and slowly turning. Then drip the wax onto your paper and stamp. Using a Melting Spoon can also help with this effort by breaking the wax and holding the spoon over a candle to melt.
Option B ) Using our Alcohol Burner or a Wood Melting Pot (sold separately) to melt the wax and then using a melting spoon to drip the wax.
Do not use a Lighter as it is too hot and will turn the wax black.

This was given as a gift. However, we won't be able to open our gifts for another month or so. I'm giving it a 5-star rating because it's exactly what she was looking for.

A useful and decorative tool. The melter came with about 9.5 in of wick, the whole thing has some heft to it with the glass being rather thick. All leading me to believe that the materials are higher quality and will be rather durable. I'd definitely reccommend getting this if you want to flair up your wax sealing station.
Beautiful handcrafted melter. Works well and exactly as described. Very quick and easy to use. Enjoying it very much. I would have purchased the Octagon model with the fancier handcrafted top if it was offered. Please consider carrying the Octagon version on your website. The only suggestion I would have is in the packaging. The Bortoletti supplied box is twice the size needed for the melter. Not a big problem when it's empty and being sent. A beautiful Bortoletti box, so I'm using the box to store it in after filled with alcohol. I added a cardboard divder to make the box the proper size for the melter keeping it from tipping while stored.
